| N139V started life as a C-45H. Volpar raised the cabin and windshield, added tricycle landing gear, H-18S cowling (electric cowl flaps), Super 18 wing tips, metalized control surfaces, a spar strap and three bladed props. The systems were a mix of Super 18 and C-45. N139V went in the drink in Hawaii and was retrived and shipped to California. After repairs, she had all types of odd corrosion issues thereafter. N139V flew to all the improved and unimproved strips on Baja California for Air Cortez from 1977 through ???. | |
