N2048Q crash landed at the Peterborough, Ontario airport on June 23, 2007 when the rear landing gear failed to lock down. There were no injuries.the front landing year and belly of the plane were damaged.

The comment above is not entirely correct. I was the pilot flying when the main gear failed to deploy. The aircraft landed on its nose gear and rear tail tiedown area. There was NO nose gear or belly damage. The right side of the stabilator was slightly damaged when the aircraft tipped over when almost stopped and was then supported by the right side of the stabilator. The rear tiedown ring and support was replaced and the right side of the stabilator was re-skinned with a new spar.
