FWIW.. I owned this aircraft in 1967, based out of Columbine airport (SW of Denver- now a subdivision). A friend & I bought it from a dealer at Jeffco airport for $3K to build time for our pilots liscences- had a hard time finding an instructor to instruct in it! Did get two instruction flights in it & with 8 hrs. solo in a C-150, took it off one day & nervously landed it very nicely! I had spent hrs. running up & down that country strip - eventually getting the tail in the air, then chopping power & keeping it straight.. fun airplane! My partner was scared of it & tried one high speed taxi taking out a runway light & the tailwheel... We fixed it & painted the fading blue trim a gloss black, one night with a bottle of Calvert. He decided that he wanted out of it.. too bad, miss that airplane. Had a girl that was willing to join the "Mile High" club & we tried it one night... didn't work at all.. landed & used the grass under the port wing..
