I had an opportunity back in the late 70s to see all of Coca Cola's Gulfstreams in one location. No it wasn't Atlanta!! It was in fairhope alabama again and Coca Cola had a meeting of all the executive officers at the Grand Hotel . It was awesome watching 678rw 679rw and 680rw landing and departing throughout the day. Then the flights stopped and all three Gulfstreams were parked in a row in front of the T-Hangars. What a sight. Fairhope airport throughout the late 60s and on thru the 70s had a lot of Gulfstreams in and out because of the corporations and wealthy individuals staying at the Grand Hotel. It was a fun time for me too. | |

I wanted to mention that all of the Gulfstreams registrations ended in RW. This stood for Robert Woodruff, the longstanding Ceo of Coca-Cola. The use of "Wind Ship" on the aircraft referred back to his family in some manner. Coca-Cola has had a long and trusted relationship with Gulfstreams. |
