| Terry Fletcher's photo identifies this aircraft as a Murphy Moose. It is instead a Murphy SR2500 Super Rebel. The Murphy Moose would be an SR3500, a larger, later Murphy experimental design. Please note on the Fletcher photograph the term Super Rebel on the aircraft's large dorsal fin. The aircraft marking and the FAA registration data are both correct. I have photographed a Murphy Moose on floats shown in my 96WI Vette-Blust Seaport section taken at EAA AirVenture 2008. Please see N622D for a true Murphy Moose on floats powered with VOKBM M14P 355 Hp radial engine. | |
