| My father flew this plane many years ago for a Banker in Dallas Tx. I have many memories of flying in this plane as the owner would always invite me if there was an empty seat. one time, my Dad had to go pick up the boss who had a Ranch 10 miles south of the LBJ ranch in Texas. he was unable to land at the ranch due to fog. the LBJ ranch was clear and he contacted the LBJ ranch by radio and informed them he had to land on their runway as he did not have fuel to go elsewhere. they told him no! well he informed them that he was coming down anyway. after he landed, the secret service made him lay spread eagle on the ground until they verified his credentials. they fueled him up and sent him right on his way. he got a kick out of telling that one. there are many stories, but i'm not sure I am telling anyone who cares. I simply am attaching this to the plane ID of which I have so many childhood memories and to honor a Father who loved his only Son and provided me with memories that go beyond most people's comprehension. thanks for reading. I will provide more if there is anyone interested. |
