I watched my father rebuild this plane from top to bottom including the engine and do aerobatics when it was all said and done. He purchased it for $500 from the miltary in Petersburg, Va. As I understand it only three were made. I flew this beautiful plane myself and I always enjoyed it. He sold the plane to build to build a EAA byplane which he did. He flew that aircraft and wa still doing aerobatics until the day he passed. The PT holds alot of great memories for me. Whoever has it today you hold a world of memories and an aircraft that was well taken care of. If you ever bring it to Petersburg, Va. I would love to know just to see it again. I will look for some photos. |
