This aircraft was built as C-47A 43-30703 and delivered to USAAF on 10/2/43, serving overseas. Returned to USA after WWII and went to Reconstruction Finance Corp on 11/13/45. It was then sold to Sperry Gyroscope Company of Great Neck, NY as NX58099. On 7/10/67 the plane was registered in Canada as CF-HBX with Hudsons Bay Oil & Gas Co. at Calgary, Alberta. On 11/18/71 it went to Arctic Air Ltd, Ft. Simpson, Northwest Territory. The aircraft then changed hands in Canada several times until Feb 1979 when it was put up for sale.
