This aircraft was delivered new to American Airlines and was the (American Airlines )inaugural aircraft for the American / Braniff / Continental interchange service linking California, West Texas and South Texas by the three airlines in the spring of 1951. It was painted with the names of all three carriers on the tail for the inaugural. The FAA still shows this aircraft in it's database. Several pictures were taken of N90756 during the inauguaral and are held in the collection of the University of Texas Dallas (UTD) in thier Braniff Historical Collection files. Capt.
