This was the aircraft in which I trained for my private pilot certificate starting in Nov 1978 and I took my first check ride in it in June 1979. It's great to see that this ship is still flying and that she has a tolerable paint job. 53L used to be an ugly orange from spinner to tail and my friends used to affectionately call her the "orange snotball!" |
