I think it is not a good idea to have two or more posts on the same plane just because they are in different squadrons. E.g. 168886 has been in VFA-122 and VFA-113. So you have a profile for each. This gets to be confusing as far as the ID is concerned and you do it regularly with Navy/Marine aircraft. I understand two profiles (or more) when a plane gets converted (e.g. KC-135A to KC-135R) because, although they have the same identity they have different appearances. But to have different profiles for different squadrons doesn't make sense. One F/A-18A I researched went through six squadrons - should we make six profiles? I don't see different profiles for USAF or USA aircraft which change units- perhaps I've missed them.

I think the practice should be discontinued.

I totally agree with you; squadron/location changes can be added as a comment to a single profile but, of course as you say, further profiles may be added should there be a model change to an airframe.
