So...what is the most photographed aircraft here on A-D?

I would venture to guess it might be the EAA's B-17G N5017N with @ 326 photos uploaded so far...

Any other ideas?

The answer to your question can be found here:

SELECT TAIL_NUMBER, COUNT(*) as 'PHOTO_COUNT' FROM AIRPORT_DATA GROUP BY TAIL_NUMBER ORDER BY PHOTO_COUNT;

But, you'll need access to the web site's database.

There's a few (16) photos filed under N5017N that should be moved to N9323Z. I've sent a message to the photographer asking him to correct the error.

Cool! Thanks Ken!

It's amazing (to me anyway) that airliners are so high on the list.

What's up with F-WWDD? 11 profiles...this stuff is nuts. hehe

F-WWDD is one of the Airbus test registrations which are used several times on different airframes.
The test numbers at Toulouse run from F-WWAA to F-WWZZ. At Hamburg most of the test regs start as D-AXA? but they also use D-AUB? and D-AVZ?

hope that helps

Chris

Chris,

Thanks for that information. I didn't think of that. It's like the Boeing test numbers...

N1786B for example.

I have a slight variation on the original question.

What aircraft has been spotted at the most airports?

I suspect Aluminum Overcast is probably a good contender. But I'm sure the some airliner is more likely.

Perhaps there should be a special page on the site dedicated to these statistics.

This thread has been dormant for a while... Could we get some updated statics on most popular aircraft, airports with the most photos, aircraft seen at the most airports? There's been 5 years of uploads... Or better yet, turn this queries in to URL's Smile
