I encountered a weird problem with the aircraft search.

I had found an image of a Grumman Gulfstream1, N789G on a Google search and wanted to look up other aircraft of the same model. I highlighted and copied the model details from the top of the aircraft profile.

I then pasted the copied data into the quick search field on the home page and clicked Search. The search returned three aircraft -- but the one I used as example, N789G, was not amongst them. Try it yourself. Very strange.

https://www.airport-data.com/search/search2.html?field=tail&code=N789G&search=

Above was my search address (box) after it found N789G results.
Found 8, with the G-I on top...

Same results with all three browsers on my system.
Vivaldi x64
Edge-chromium x64
Slimjet x64

Maybe, an error, or buggy result, or your copy/paste operation added an invisible ASCII character into the search string...skewing the results....

John

The first image below is the profile where I copied the model (highlighted). The second image is the Quick Search panel on the home page. The number 1 in the model name is not visible due to box size but is there, The third image is the result. I just did the search again and got the same result. Searching tail no, I got the same result as you, but that's not what I was after.

(Edit: Attachments posted in reverse order.Sorry. Note: It did pick up a G.159 as well as two G-159 but not the original.)
