Can any of the members assist in finding out the identity of this USMC Sea Knight seen at Dulles Airport in June 1972 ?

That picture belongs to Squadron HMX-1 and the number is right by the "M" in Marines, if the picture was a little bigger the number might be read. I found MX-14, MX-20 but no MX-19

Found MX-18
But NO MX-19 for date; 1972

There is an MX-19 listed, but the date is c.2007

According to www.helis.com this should be serial 157681 c/n 2580, built as a CH-46F later converted to a CH-46E. It was transferred to the Naval Air Depot at Cherry Point, North Carolina on the 5th May 2007. It originally enlisted with Marine Squadron 1 in 1970. These helicopters had a long service life, the type not being completely retired until 2015.

Hope this is of interest.

Cheers
Rob

HELIS data:
1970-01-29
BV-107M, c/n 2580, ff?
accepted BuWepsRep, FR, Morton, PA as CH-46F 157681 29Jan70
xfer HMX-1, MX-18, 10Mar70
conv CH-46E unk
xfer NADEP Cherry Point 05May07
noted HMX-1, MX-19, Nov07

Photo shows as MX-19 in YR 1972.
Helis data; the way I read it shows; as MX-18 in 1970 and became MX-19 in 2007 !?
Am I reading it wrong, or is some data misplaced on timeline or missing?

Regards

John

Thanks John & Rob for responses but not sure about 157681 being MX-19. Your interest is appreciated but think I will wait a little longer before trying to add the photograph to a profile.
