The last Dakota to serve with the RAF wore this colour scheme when it was retired from service in Germany and returned here to Kemble in March 1970. Originally a lend-lease C-47, G-AMPY saw service in Burma in 1944, was civilianized for Starways in 1952 and has since served in Jordan, Icelend and the USA as well as with numerous British operators including Intra Airways.
